Imvros (Gökçeada) is an island in the North Aegean, connected to the province of Çanakkale. Transportation to the island is provided only by ferries departing from Kabatepe port. The ferry journey takes an average of 1.5 hours. We recommend you to buy your bus/plane tickets in advance.

Truva Turizm offers scheduled trips from Istanbul Esenler Bus Station at 02:00 AM, 09:55 AM, and 03:30 PM directly to Gökçeada. Seats are booked quickly, so it's advisable to reserve your seat in advance.
After arriving in Gelibolu (Gallipoli), you can take Eceabat minibuses, which will take you to Eceabat in approximately 1 hour. From there, you can get Kabatepe minibuses to the island ferry in 15-20 minutes.
Upon reaching Kabatepe, you will get off at Kuzulimanı. The distance
between Kuzulimanı and the centre of the island is 7 kilometers. After ferry, you can easily find minibuses or taxis nearby to take you to
the centre.
The last stop of the buses is Çanakkale Bus Terminal. Upon arrival at Çanakkale bus station, you should head to Çanakkale pier.
From there, you can take the Eceabat ferry, which will get you to Eceabat in 20 minutes. After getting off, you will find Kabatepe minibuses on your right. Coming from Istanbul, you can take the TEM highway in the direction of Tekirdağ, Gelibolu, Eceabat, and reach Kabatepe port where the island ferry departs. From here, you can take the ferries to Gökçeada/Imvros. The distance from Istanbul centre to Kabatepe port is approximately 300-350 km and takes about 3.5-4 hours.

Kabatepe port, from where the ferries depart, is located in the Thrace region, that is, on the European continent. Those coming from Asia now have two options for crossing the Dardanelles: car ferry or using the newly built bridge.
If you are coming from Ankara, Eskişehir, or Bursa, you can use the bridge to cross the Dardanelles. Those coming from Izmir can also use the Eceabat car ferry from the center of Çanakkale.
