Mehmet Şahin

Mehmet Şahin completed his undergraduate studies in the Department of Translation and Interpretation at Bilkent University. He received his master’s degree at the same university in the field of Teacher Education. He received his PhD degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor in MA in Applied Linguistics/TESOL at Iowa State University. His research studies during his doctoral studies were mainly on computer-assisted language learning and language technologies. Mehmet Şahin is now working as an associate professor of translation and interpretation at Izmir University of Economics and his research interests include translation studies, translation and interpreting technologies, machine translation and translator and interpreter training.
